The concert promoters Marcel Avram and Matthias Hoffmann found CTS Computer Ticket Service GmbH in Munich on 4 November.
CTS is acquired by Klaus-Peter Schulenberg. Just a year later, the company is in the black for the first time.

CTS becomes CTS EVENTIM and the limited company (GmbH) becomes a stock corporation (AG) through a change of legal form.
After two years of development, CTS EVENTIM in January launches the world’s most modern ticketing software.

On 1 February, CTS EVENTIM makes its successful debut on the Frankfurt stock exchange. It is initially listed on the ‘Neuer Markt’.

CTS EVENTIM expands into live entertainment and acquires stakes in a number of German concert promoters. These include the Marek Lieberberg Konzertagentur, the Peter Rieger Konzertagentur, Semmel Concerts, Argo Konzerte, FKP Scorpio, and Dirk Becker Entertainment. This makes CTS EVENTIM the first company ever to unite ticketing and live entertainment under a shared umbrella.

CTS EVENTIM takes over the internet platform getgo.de.

CTS EVENTIM is awarded the contract to market the tickets for the FIFA 2006 World Cup in Germany. The sale of 3.2 million tickets goes smoothly.

Together with other sponsors, CTS EVENTIM ensures the long-term continuation of the ‘Kontaktstudiengang Popularmusik’ at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg. Since then, the course has operated under the name EVENTIM POPKURS. Its graduates include artists such as Peter Fox, Johannes Oerding, Revolverheld, Wir sind Helden, and many others.

CTS EVENTIM becomes Europe’s leading concert promoter and the world’s third largest. The company still retains these positions today.

With the acquisition of Ticketcorner, CTS EVENTIM becomes the ticketing market leader in Switzerland.

In Germany, CTS EVENTIM takes over the activities of Ticket Online and also concludes an exclusive ticketing contract with Stage Entertainment.
CTS EVENTIM’s Group revenue exceeds the 500-million-euro mark for the first time.

CTS EVENTIM takes over the operation of the LANXESS arena in Cologne and, together with Anschutz Entertainment Group, acquires the legendary Hammersmith Apollo in London, which has operated under the name EVENTIM Apollo since 2013.

CTS EVENTIM wins the official ticketing services contract for the XXII Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia.

CTS EVENTIM expands its European market leadership in live entertainment by acquiring a majority stake in Switzerland’s ABC Production.

CTS EVENTIM acquires Stage Entertainment’s ticketing companies in Spain, the Netherlands, and France. An exclusive ticketing agreement for Europe and Russia is also concluded with Stage.

CTS EVENTIM is chosen as the exclusive ticketing partner for the 2017 Ice Hockey World Championship in Cologne and Paris.
CTS EVENTIM completes a change of legal form to a partnership limited by shares (KGaA). EVENTIM Management AG becomes the personally liable partner of the KGaA.

CTS EVENTIM becomes the exclusive ticketing partner for the XXXI Summer Olympic Games and the XV Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro.

CTS EVENTIM enters the German cinema ticketing market by acquiring a stake in kinoheld.

CTS EVENTIM forms a ticketing joint venture with the Danish media company Egmont, thereby strengthening its position in Scandinavia.
CTS EVENTIM expands to South America through a joint venture with Sony Music Entertainment in Brazil.
For the first time in its history, CTS EVENTIM generates revenues exceeding one billion euros, a normalised EBITDA of more than 200 million euros, and a Group profit of more than 100 million euros.
With the acquisition of the Italian promoters Vertigo, Friends and Partners, D’Alessandro e Galli, and Vivo Concerti, CTS EVENTIM becomes the leading provider of Live Entertainment in Italy within just a few months.
With EVENTIM BRAND CONNECT, a new business unit is created that centrally handles of the requirements of marketing partners in the Ticketing and Live Entertainment segments.
Together with the Austrian company Kapsch TrafficCom, CTS EVENTIM is commissioned to collect German passenger vehicle tolls, thereby introducing its expertise to a business segment outside the ticketing and live entertainment sectors for the first time.
CTS EVENTIM bundles its Live Entertainment forces in the pan-European promoter network EVENTIM LIVE, which comprises 26 promoters in 10 countries.

CTS EVENTIM AG & Co. KGaA and Fnac Darty S.A. have successfully concluded their negotiations on a strategic partnership for their French ticketing activities. As planned, CTS EVENTIM acquires 48 percent of the shares in France Billet, the ticketing subsidiary of Fnac Darty and market leader in France.

CTS EVENTIM has acquired 71 percent of shares in the Austrian concert promoter Barracuda Music. The company is thus expanding its European event portfolio to include some of Austria’s most popular concerts and festivals. Barracuda Music will become part of the EVENTIM LIVE promoter network.
CTS EVENTIM is acquiring 60% of the shares in Zurich-based Gadget Entertainment AG and in that connection is also acquiring a 60% stake in the wepromote Entertainment Group. By making this acquisition. On completion of the transaction, Gadget Entertainment AG and wepromote Entertainment Group Switzerland AG will merge their operations with those of ABC Production AG, which already belongs to CTS EVENTIM. The name of the new company, domiciled in Zurich, will be ‘Gadget abc Entertainment Group AG’. At the same time, EVENTIM LIVE is adding a further 32 promoters to its national and international network.
CTS EVENTIM has announced the creation of a new 50:50 partnership with legendary US promoter Michael Cohl. For EVENTIM LIVE, this step marks the next milestone in its still young, yet very successful history.
