CTS EVENTIM and AEG to take over Hammersmith Apollo in London

CTS EVENTIM continues on expansion strategy in U.K. / acquisition of Hammersmith Apollo in joint venture with Anschutz Entertainment Group / purchase price of GBP 32 million (Euro 40 million)

Munich, 31 May 2012. SDAX listed CTS EVENTIM AG (ISIN DE0005470306) continues to expand in Europe. Following a successful offer together with Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG), agreements on the acquisition of Hammersmith Apollo Ltd. have been executed today in London. The seller is British HMV plc, the purchaser is a London based acquisition vehicle in which CTS EVENTIM and AEG hold equal shares. The agreed purchase price (before adjustments at closing) is GBP 32 million (Euro 40 million). Closing of the transaction is still subject to antitrust clearance in Germany and the U.K.   
 
Hammersmith Apollo Ltd. manages and operates the central London venue of the same name. With a capacity of more than 5,000, the Apollo is one of London’s favorite venues and has seen the staging of numerous live concerts (e.g. Oasis, REM, AC/DC, Bruce Springsteen, Kylie Minogue, Elton John and others), high profile TV productions as well as comedy shows, ballet performances and operas. 
 
For CTS EVENTIM, the investment in the Hammersmith Apollo forms the basis of a continued expansion of their market position in Great Britain. Together with Anschutz Entertainment Group, CTS EVENTIM will provide all relevant services for the Hammersmith Apollo’s operation through the London based joint venture.
