CTS EVENTIM AG, listed on the SDAX exchange (ISIN DE 0005470306), has announced the acquisition of 51% of the shares in Act Entertainment AG, domiciled in Basel, through its promoter holding MEDUSA. Established in the year 2000, Act Entertainment is one of the leading promoters of musical shows in Switzerland and has become one of the country's major forces in organizing music tours and concerts alike.
Since 2004, Act Entertainment has been involved in numerous large pop and rock music events, including concerts by Herbert Grönemeyer, Anastacia, Rammstein, Mark Knopfler, Joe Cocker, Kylie Minogue and R.E.M. as well as other international artists. Act Entertainment is also co-promoting Greenfield Festival at Interlaken, one of the biggest Swiss open airs, and offering dinner shows such as Palazzo Colombino in Zürich and Basel.
EVENTIM Group, having already entered the Swiss ticketing market in July of 2006 through the acquisition of Tic Tec AG, reinforces their already strong market position in Switzerland and is now offering live entertainment in all German speaking countries. Furthermore, through the integration of Act Entertainment, EVENTIM is now able to carry over their proven chain of added value to Switzerland: setting up a tour, promoting the events locally, and selling the tickets via the internet.

In the current business year, an anticipated 85.000 events with more than 45 million tickets will be sold via ticketing systems of EVENTIM Group.
