Munich, 15. December 2008 – CTS EVENTIM will be the key provider of ticketing services for the “Van Gogh and the colours of the night” exhibition in Amsterdam. From 13 February to 7 June 2009, the exhibition will show a unique selection of 55 works by the Dutch painter, with Amsterdam the only venue in Europe where they can be seen. The Van Gogh Museum expects at least 800,000 visitors, two thirds of them from abroad.
Tickets available through all sales channels
CTS EVENTIM will be handling the ticketing operation on its Europe-wide Internet platform (www.eventim.com) and through selected partners. In this way, event promoters can sell tickets throughout Europe using the proven infrastructure of the CTS Group. This solution, in which CTS handles ticketing through all sales channels (online, hotline, box office), guarantees the promoter professional marketing to the targeted markets. The tickets can be also be printed out at home using the print-at-home option, then scanned by the electronic access control system of the Van Gogh Museum.

The exhibition was jointly designed and compiled by the Van Gogh Museum and the Museum of Modern Art in New York (MoMA). Before “Van Gogh and the colours of the night” comes to Europe, the exhibition will be on view in the MoMA in New York until 5 January 2009.
